Season 4 premiered on January 22, 2009, and will have 26 full episodes. It was the first season to premiere on Teletoon first.[1] Another first is its high definition presentation. This season began airing on Cartoon Network on November 9, 2009. This would be the final season for Louis Chirillo and Ashleigh Ball as the voices of Dukey, Mary Test, and Sissy Blakely.

Season 5: 2011-2012[]
On August 24, 2010 it was announced that Johnny Test was renewed for a fifth season. The renewal will bring the series total to 92 episodes. The season debuted on June 13, 2011 in the US. This was the first season to premiere on Cartoon Network first. This is the first season for Trevor Devall as the new voice of Dukey and former cast member, Brittney Wilson returns to play Mary Test, Sissy Blakely, and Missy. In August of 2012 Netflix came out with season 5.

| Surprisingly inventive and not as violent as other cartoons in this genre, JOHNNY TEST is an age-appropriate choice for kids. The only thing worth mentioning: All the experiments Johnny undergoes are unattended by adults, which allows all types of zany plots to unfold. But as long as he's in one piece by dinner time, Johnny is free to be experimented upon every day. |

| Humor in this show is just bad and sometimes very irritating to where you throw your remote to the television, thinking that you bought the smarter TV that would change the channel for you its so bad. Most of the humor is fart jokes, including one of Johnny test's alter-egos, Johnny X, who farts out fire for a super, punch lines, consistently saying "Didn't see that coming" even though the audience could see it a mile away, and pulp culture references, Darth Vader, Mr. Freeze, FOP, Dexter's laboratory, and possibly so on. The main issue is the direction. Originally, Johnny Test was directed by Chris Savino, current director of Kick Buttowski for only one season; however, he left and allowed hacks and morons to direct this show to make it worse and worse and . . . well, you get the message. The worst thing is that they always have to make that whipping sound to make sure that your paying attention, but ironically that never works. It gets irritating and makes you lose focus on "the plot" from time to time. Some of the comedy could really work, as I said earlier; however, everything has to be a gag, and even when they are trying to be intelligent, it just makes the show seem more dumbererrr * I know what I said, let me conclude this review please. |

Overall, I really enjoy Johnny Test. Much like my own writing with Toonopolis, the pop culture parody drives the comedic elements and each show still manages to have subtle messages and occasional lessons (of course, Johnny rarely truly learns his lesson, even with comeuppance). One of my favorite parody characters is Blast Ketchup (a jab at anime and Pokémon main character Ash Catchem). They created an entire spoof world called Tiny’Mon that throws plenty of jabs at how silly Pokémon and the various copycats really are (doesn’t stop me from playing them, though). I am glad this show was requested. I might have missed out on watching it with my new “cartoon reviewer” glasses and not really explored the depths of how good it is. I’ll give Johnny Test 4/5 Giant Cartoon Mallets! |
